As previously reported, The Bradenton Police Department has a squad of 18 law enforcement officers assisting the Tampa Police Department at the 2012 Republican National Convention.

Bradenton Police Department Patrol Sergeant Curtis Johnson is seen in the photo above assisting a small child who was brought to a protest march by her mother on Tuesday, according to a report provided by Capt. W.T. Merriman, Bradenton Police Dept.

The march spanned roughly 20-30 blocks through downtown Tampa at 4 p.m., while there was a 100-plus degree heat index. Sergeant Johnson reportedly saw this little girl crying because she was thirsty and he took the initiative to provide her a drink from his personal water source.
